About Maya Bringas
✽ My path of self-realization began many years ago. On this path, I learned the importance of joining with our inner Spirit — the true essence that we are. This essence is also known as Presence/I AM/Source/Consciousness/Awareness/true Self, and it is the deepest part of our being that is eternal and unchanging. It is our inherent nature, which is peace, divine unconditional love, wholeness and innocence. This part of us knows all the answers and has all the solutions.
✽ I completed my university studies in Science with a major in Biology, and then completed an After-Degree in Education. After that I worked in post-secondary education for about a decade, first as a biology instructor, and then as an international admissions advisor at the University of Alberta.
✽ It was in about 2006 or so, that I learned of Reiki. After my first Reiki session, I knew I had to learn it. I loved the radiant energy of Reiki! In my research to find the right Reiki training for me, I came across the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). With the advanced and extensive Reiki training that the teachers from the ICRT have, I felt like training through the ICRT would be the right fit for me.
So, in 2007, I took the Usui/Tibetan Reiki Level I and II training, with Laurelle Shanti Gaia in Sedona, Arizona. After the class, Reiki became a very important part of my path and daily life. In the following year, 2008, I took the Usui/Tibetan Advanced Reiki Training (ART) and Reiki Master training in Oregon with Colleen Benelli. Then in 2011, I took the next level of Reiki training after the Master level, which is the Karuna Reiki® Master training. I took this class in Seattle with the founder and president of the International Center for Reiki Training, William Lee Rand. Learning from Senior Reiki Master Teachers from the International Center for Reiki Training, has provided me with a solid foundation in Reiki.
✽ Soon after, I decided to leave my work in post-secondary education to follow my passion in holistic health. I then also gained extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of self-development, spirituality, and other vibrational therapies as well. With my interest in the mind-body connection, I took the Heal Your Life® certified teacher training in 2014, which is authorized by Hay House Inc., and approved by Louise Hay, founder of Hay House Publishing and author of the best-selling book, You Can Heal Your Life.
In 2020, I took the Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master training online with William Rand. Holy Fire® Reiki was introduced by the ICRT in 2014. It is a combination of traditional Usui Reiki and a modern evolution of Reiki that has a higher vibration. I then took the Holy Fire® World Peace Reiki Master Upgrade webinar in 2024 which was presented by William Rand and Colleen Benelli. Reiki has been a divine guiding light in every aspect of my life and I have experienced profound transformation as a result. It's my joy to share my love of Reiki with others. In my blog post, "My Reiki Journey: How It All Began", I share details about my first experiences with Reiki, how the energy resonated with me, and how it became a way of living.
✽ I also have been a dedicated student of A Course in Miracles since 2008. It is a universal, self-study, non-dualistic, spiritual thought system that assists with awakening to the Truth of what we are; our Oneness with Source/God/Love. A Course in Miracles' unique curriculum includes 365 lessons, which assist in unravelling the false beliefs that we are separate from Source.
A Course in Miracles has been instrumental in transforming my perception of myself, others, the world, and everything. It has been an important part in shaping my personal path of self-realization and also my approach to healing and vibrational alignment. One that recognizes and honors our inherent nature which is already whole, complete, awake, and One with all of creation. It has been a true blessing and miracle on my path over the years.
✽ I am also a student of the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, which have been deeply profound and truly helpful on my path.

✽ Having a deep interest in the science-spirituality connection, I find it fascinating and valuable to understand the science of how our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors affect us biologically/chemically. This understanding can help to build mindfulness and empower our lives on all levels of our being.
✽ Through training as a HeartMath® Certified Practitioner in 2024, I deepened my understanding of the heart's innate intelligence in a whole new way. Also, by incorporating the quick and simple HeartMath® techniques into my daily life, I have noticed how they can produce an effective and immediate shift towards enhanced inner harmony. I am also a student of the teachings of Dr. Joe Dispenza, and have experienced deep transformation and vibrational alignment through his meditations and work.
