Grounding To Your Light

Your Divine Light
You may be aware of the importance of grounding yourself.  By grounding, you are energetically rooting or grounding yourself to the earth/physical world.  When grounded, you feel more secure, safe, and are more easily able to manifest your goals in the physical world.  Sometimes if you become ungrounded, you may experience symptoms such as feeling spacey/dizzy, clumsiness, or being forgetful.  Therefore, it is important to be firmly rooted to the physical world.

It is very helpful to get in the habit of grounding yourself regularly.  Doing activities like walking, dancing and gardening are great for grounding.  You can also use a visualization tool to energetically ground yourself.  One such tool that I used in the past as part of my personal grounding methods, was to visualize myself as a strong tree with the roots from the bottoms of my feet going deep down into the center of Mother Earth and anchoring there.  However, a few months ago I began to use another visualization when I became aware of how grounding into Mother Earth can effect her and us energetically.  Everything on the planet at this time is shifting.  Whether we are conscious of the shifts we are going through or not, everyone including the plants and animals and everything on the planet, is shifting vibrationally.  Mother Earth is also going through her own shifting and realignment process.  Therefore, rather than grounding into Mother Earth, who is also healing/stabilizing herself at this time, another technique is to ground to your Divine Essence/Light, which is One with Source Energy.  By grounding to your light you align and ground to Source and to that aspect of yourself that is all-knowing, all-loving and all-powerful. 

The following is a visualization that you can use.  Visualize a cord of white light that extends from just below the bottom of your spine, up through your spine, and out of your crown (the top of your head) and moves up higher and higher where it connects with your Divine Essence/Source Energy.  Feel this connection to Source Energy providing you with all that you need (strength, support, comfort, healing, guidance, etc.).  You can then visualize divine white light from Source moving down through your crown which then fills every part of your body.  Visualize the light filling your feet and feel or sense the light giving you strength and support.  Now focus on your heart chakra in the center of your chest and see this radiant light expanding outwards.  Continue to see this divine light expanding further and further until it fills the entire room, then the city and then the country you are in, and then the whole planet.  You are sending loving light to Mother Earth and all her inhabitants.  Allow yourself to spend some time in this quiet inner sanctuary before continuing with your day. 

Expanding your light regularly as in the above example, will also assist you with sensing/feeling the light around you more strongly throughout the day, providing you always with what you require.  You may like to do this exercise each morning before you start your day.

Are You Listening to Your Body's Messages?  Getting to the Root of a Health Challenge.

Whatever is happening in your physical body is a reflection of what is going on in your inner world.  Your cells and DNA respond to the thoughts you think and the words you speak.  Learning to listen to what your body is trying to tell you will guide you to increased health and well-being.

Whenever you experience any type of pain or discomfort, or if you are experiencing a more serious health challenge, it is your body’s way of trying to get your attention.  The body’s natural state of being is relaxed, comfortable and at ease.  If however, you become caught up or overwhelmed with the outside world and spend less time on needed daily self-care, you may begin to experience emotional, mental, or physical distress and symptoms.  Every health challenge that arises has a deeper meaning that it is trying to reveal to you.

The challenges that develop in the physical body arise from our emotional/mental and ultimately our vibrational state of being.  As mentioned above, your body is always listening to what you think and say about yourself and the world.  It absorbs and stores this information going all the way back to your childhood years.  So an issue that arises in the physical body in adulthood may possibly be due to stored emotions/trauma going back decades that have not yet been released and healed.  It is healthy and necessary to allow yourself to feel any emotions whenever they arise rather than burying them deep within.  Your various emotions arise for a reason.  So allow yourself to notice and feel them and then let them go.  Awareness of your feelings and thoughts is key, however rather than analyzing them, simply observe them.  Notice your thoughts without judging them nor labelling them.  Remain detached from them as you are not your thoughts.   Simply be the observer of what arises in the mind.  If you analyze your thoughts, this keeps you from being fully present in the Now.  

At a sub-atomic level we and everything in the Universe is energy.  Everything has a vibrational frequency, moving/vibrating at a particular rate.  Your thoughts and beliefs also have a vibrational frequency.  Your vibrational state effects your emotional and mental state which effects your physical state of being.  They are all interconnected.  So when you build upon the thoughts that promote self and universal love for example, your vibrational frequency rises.  Similarly, your vibrational frequency is also lifted higher when you let go of the thoughts and beliefs that are not in alignment with the Truth of who you really are.  You have the power within you to learn from a health condition, send love and care to your body, and then ask your inner spirit/wisdom which is One with Source Energy, to assist you with relief and release from the condition.  Knowing that a condition has come up for some purpose and having a sense as to the cause will empower you to gain a deeper understanding so that you can move forward with the healing process.  Different physical issues/challenges have a mental pattern associated with it.  A helpful book that you may want to read is “Heal Your Body,” by Louise Hay, which provides a list of health conditions along with the probable mental pattern of cause.

Healing the root cause of a health challenge or issue you are faced with is key.  It is important for healing to be on a soul level.   Often times there are old issues of resentment, anger, fear, or unforgiveness that have been buried within the body that need to be released.  It is important to let all this go.  If you are unable to do so, you may notice that an issue/pattern in your life keeps repeating or that a physical condition seems to disappear or be alleviated for awhile, but then returns later or manifests elsewhere in the body.  Therefore, you must be willing let go of that which is not serving a higher purpose in your life.  Be willing to let go of all criticism of self and others.  Let go of the burdens and beliefs, patterns, and behaviors that keep you from living to your highest potential.  Again, you can ask your inner spirit, which is all-knowing and wise, to help you with this process of release.  When you trust in the process of releasing all that is not for your highest good, you are able to heal at a much deeper level.  As you follow your own inner spirit’s guidance your vibration and consciousness is lifted to higher levels.  You realign to the Truth of who you really are which is perfect, whole and complete.  

You may realize that some of the beliefs you hold don’t come from you, but rather you have adopted them from those around you growing up.  For example many believe that you can’t change a health condition if it is genetic.  This belief is not empowering and it is just a belief and a belief can be changed.  Often times it is actually a mental pattern of a condition that is passed on through the generations.  For example, you may share the same tendency to worry, over-analyze, or deal with stress in the same manner as your parents.  However, by shifting the mental pattern, the physical manifestation will automatically be shifted as well.  Another example of a belief among some is that a person’s age dictates their state of health.  When people believe they are too old to change or that there health will decline as they age, this is simply a belief that they have bought into.  And again, a belief can be dropped.  Aging is an attitude.  

Self-love and self-care is vital especially when faced with a health challenge.  As you truly accept and cherish yourself just as you are right now, every part of your body absorbs this loving healing energy.  Loving yourself, believing in the power you hold within and trusting that the Universe will always support you are keys to the healing process.

All of the answers to what you need to know are within you.  You know what it is that you need and you know your body best.  Tune into your body every day simply by becoming quiet and still and going within.  If you are experiencing any tension, you can bring your mind’s attention to that part of your body that is distressed and ask it why it is hurting.  Ask your body what you need to learn so that you can heal.  Then notice any thoughts that arise in your mind.  Unburden yourself, let go, and trust.  There is nothing to fear.  

Each morning and night give thanks to your body.  Honor it for the temple it is and for providing a home for your divine spirit.  Eat high vibrational foods that nourish it and do activities that make your heart sing.  Cherish your body and send it loving thoughts and care.  Tell it that you are now going to start listening to what information it has for you every day.  When we train ourselves to tune into our bodies, we learn to understand its messages.
